Tems Dethrones Tiwa Savage As Spotify’s Most Streamed Female Afrobeats Artist With Over 60 Million Streams

When Tems sang ‘You don’t need no other body‘, music lovers thought she was only referring to the love of her life. Not really.

This morning, Spotify released the list of their most streamed female afrobeats artists and Tems didn’t just make the list as the No. 1, but she broke another record.

Tems is currently the most streamed Afrobeats artiste with over 70 million streams. As seen on Hot new Afrobeats, Tems dethroned and sent Tiwa Savage into exile. She surpassed Tiwa with over 62 million streams, trashing Tiwa’s record of being the most streamed Afrobeat female artiste with 7.3 million listening.

This is coming days after Tems surpassed Yemi Alade as the second most streamed Afrobeat artiste.
